This collection of charts for cross stitch embroidery or filet crochet started as an ordered version of Lilian Kok's blog My Aunt's Attic. Later I've been adding more patterns, most of which come from the Antique Pattern Library and some more from La Moda Elegante, the Spanish version of French magazine La mode illustrée.
The total count by January 2014 is 475 charts.
On February 2007 Lilian Kok set out to digitise and publish on her blog the handwritten charts for cross stitch she had found in her aunt's attic. By September 2008, when she had reached the bottom of the pile, the collection counted almost 300 images
The original blog (My Aunt's Attic, or Tantes Zolder in Dutch) was beautiful to browse through and interesting to read, but the original site was discontinued in 2012. The content is still accessible via the WaybackMachine of the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20120309102932/http://myauntsattic.weblog.nl/
Here you'll just find all the charts, ordered by general shape or theme.
Antique Pattern Library
Most of the recent additions to the collection come from the Antique Pattern Library, an ongoing project to scan antique craft and design books that are in the public domain and make them available on the internet, for free, at http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org
They publish scans of books on all kinds of crafts - needlework, knitting, embroidery, crochet, lace making, weaving, basketry, etc; there is also a lively Yahoo Group for discussing the Antique Pattern Library and antique crafts and patterns.
